Applications in prescribed format are invited from Indian nationals for filling up the following Non-Teaching positions in the University. The vacancy positions/reservations etc are mentioned below.
Non-Teaching Positions - Silchar Campus:
(1) Five year tenure post: Controller of Examinations-1 (UR)
(2) Director College Development Council-1 (UR)
(3) Internal Audit Officer-1 (UR) (On deputation)
(4) Public Relation Officer- 1 (UR)
(5) Estate Officer-1 (UR)
(6) Assistant-2 (UR)
(7) Hindi Translator-1 (UR)
(8) Stenographer -1 UR,
(9) Hindi Typist – 1 (UR)
(10) Lower Division Clerk- 11 (1-UR, 6-OBC, 3-SC, 1 -ST)
(11) Electrician-1(UR)
(12) Technical Assistant -1 UR
(13) Laboratory Assistant- 2 UR
(14) Laboratory Attendant – 3 (1 PWD-Loco motor disability/Cerebral Palsy one leg affected , 1 –OBC, 1-UR).

(1) Section Officer-2 (UR)
(2) Upper Division Clerk- 1 (UR)
(3) Personal Assistant- 1 (UR)
(4) Lower Division Clerk-1 (UR)
(5) Lab Attendant-1 (UR).
The Posts for Silchar Campus at Sl.No. 4 advertised vide Employment Notification No. 8/2011 dated 09/12/2011 & 10/2012 dated 31/12/2012 and the posts at Sl.No. 7, 9, and 10 advertised vide Employment Notification No. 7/2011 dated 17/09/2011 and the post at Sl.No. 6 & 11 advertised vide Employment
Notification No. 8/2011 dated 09/12/2011 stands cancelled
Last date for receipt of filled in application form 24/12/2014. The University shall not be responsible for any postal delay. Applications received after the last date of receipt of application form will be summarily rejected.
Mode of Selection: The mode of selection i.e. Selection through written test/Skill test/Viva-Voce etc shall be decided in due course & notified accordingly.
Note: The medium of instruction in the University is English.

Application fee: - Rs. 400.00 for General & OBC Candidates. The candidates belonging to SC, ST, PWD category need not pay application fee, however, they will have to pay Rs. 50/- as postal expenses. The filled in application form is to be submitted in a sealed cover superscribed with “Post applied for & Campus” with Advertisement no. etc to The Registrar, Assam University, Raja Rammohan Roy Administrative Building, Silchar–788 011. Mode of Payment: Application fee has to be submitted through demand draft only, drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Assam University, Silchar payable at UCO Bank, Silchar (Branch Code 2005) or State Bank of India, Silchar (Branch Code 7061). Other mode of payment of application fee shall not be accepted.
